We launched in 2017 as Taco Dave, mixing our favourite CDMX tacos with a bit of Leytonstone.
Then we launched MFC and the rest is history!

My name is David Sabbarton and I’m the big brain behind Taco Dave & MFC. I’ve always been a huge fan of Mexico, driving to Lakeside just to taste that sweet sweet Taco Bell when you couldn’t find it anywhere else in the UK.

Then I actually went to Mexico and was like ‘woah, no way, wow! The food is so delicious’. So I thought, I could stay a project manager at some building company, or I could start slinging tacos.

I started off doing the odd thing here and there around East London, and applied to KERB. I went to their offices and cooked tacos very very slowly for around 2 hours. They seemed to like it and I got on the inKERBator back in 2017 where I met my now husband Nick Lazarides of Cyprus Kitchen. So I can definitely say it’s been a good few years!
